So, I can't shake this cold, and over the last couple days, it's actually gotten worse. Booooo. I didn't want to use any vacation days at work, so I did my best to look presentable even though I'm feeling crappy! Besides, the corpse look is no good and playing with makeup always cheers me up! Here's my sick day makeup routine!
Products I used:
Moisturizer - Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream
Primer - Smashbox Photo Finish Light / Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Foundation - Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation in Dim Light
Concealer - Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard
Blush - Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta
Eyes - Urban Decay Naked2 palette
Setting spray - Urban Decay All Nighter
Setting powder - Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light / BareMinerals Mineral Veil
Mascara - Buxom Lash
I start with my moisturizer and let that absorb into my skin for about 10 minutes. I apply my primers - Smashbox for face and Urban Decay for eye area. Next, I apply foundation with the Real Techniques stippling brush. I received a deluxe sample of the Buxom foundation which is light coverage - it's enough coverage for sick days when you don't want to look too made up but don't want to look like a corpse either. I'm not blown away by the product but it does the job. Next up, concealer and eyes. I used a few Naked2 colors on my lid and a darker one to line my eyes. On sick days, I usually opt for glasses so I keep my eyes simple. Then I apply blush lightly, going for the non-corpse look. I spray my face with the Urban Decay All Nighter spray. I like to apply my setting powders after spraying when my face is still damp. I find it makes everything last longer. So, I use the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder over my whole face and the BareMinerals Mineral Veil to set my under-eye concealer.
That's my easy sick day makeup routine!
