Feeling like a Lush...

Like a crazy person, I braved last Saturday's snow squalls and hit up my local Lush shop for their anniversary sale/celebration/whatever it was.  I needed to pick up some more Dream Cream - an absolutely amazing body lotion for sensitive skin.  I don't necessarily have sensitive skin, but I do get these tiny little bumps on my upper arms and this is the only thing that keeps them smooth.  Made with calming oat milk, lavender and chamomile, it has an herbally and ever so slightly florally scent and is very light, though it does linger on the skin for a bit after application, so I usually have to wait just a bit before putting my clothes on.

In honor of their anniversary, the shop was offering a limited edition body lotion based off of their Comforter bubble bar.  I'm a SUCKER for limited editions...just take my money, please.  The Comforter lotion smells just like the bubble bar...fruity, vanilla-y, sweet and just awesome.  It's a lovely light purple color that looks good enough to eat...like yogurt or something. But don't eat it!  I was sniffing my arm for the rest of the day!  Since it's a limited release, I'll probably only be using it after my weekly bath to make it last a little longer.

Speaking of baths, I've become really diligent about taking a weekly bath! It really helps me destress (which I absolutely need right now). It's the first thing I do as part of my get-ready-for-the-week routine! First bath then GlamGlow mask and finally cleaning makeup brushes. But I'm so relaxed at that point that cleaning brushes doesn't seem quite as annoying!  Here's a rundown of the Lush bubble bars I'm loving right now:

Dorothy - maybe I'm biased here because The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie, but this bubble bar is my all-time favorite bubble bar!! With luxurious orange scent, serene blue water and bubbles that just won't quit, it sends me somewhere over the rainbow. Too cheesy?? My skin is always so soft after a Dorothy bath and the bubbles last forever (and are perfect for making bubble sculptures, bubble beards and bubble hair)!!

Yuzu and Cocoa - these segmented bubble bars, called Bubbleroons (my new favorite word) are specifically designed for multiple bath uses (even though you can cut the others in pieces to make them last longer). This one is orangey and chocolately...very softening and relaxing. Good bubble production but not like Dorothy which I usually split in half anyway. I'll definitely try this one again.

What's your favorite Lush product??
